Kālaʻe Ola Kanilehua- Putty

Size Guide

This Kālaʻe Long Wallet features our Ola Kanilehua print on Putty fabric with Forest Green and Mango ink.

This updated print features the original “Ka Ua Kani Lehua” art drawn by Sig for Hilo Kumu Hula Johnny Lum Ho and his Hālau O Ka Ua Kani Lehua in the 80s. The name “Ka Ua Kani Lehua” refers to our Hilo rain and that unique sound it makes while falling on lehua blossoms in a forest of ʻōhiʻa.  To celebrate their comeback and great win at the 2016 Merrie Monarch Festival, a new layout was created by one of our designers, a long time Hālau O Ka Ua Kani Lehua dancer, Brandy-Alia Serikaku.  Ola Ka Ua Kani Lehua! This iconic print comes back to life!

Hand-cut and sewn one-at-a-time, our leather wallets are made by Hiro in the outskirts of Tokyo. The leather is split and shaved in Japan so it becomes lightweight. Our printed poplin fabric is then sewn together to create our Kālaʻe wallets.

Measurements are approximately 7.5" long X 4" tall X 1" wide.
