Keahialaka
In the Puna district on the island of Hawai'i was a large forest area called Keahialaka. Literally meaning the "Fires of Laka," this special place was home to several different colors of the lehua blossoms. When all the red flowers are in full bloom, the forest
appears to be on fire!
During the 2018 eruption of Kīlauea, an outbreak in the Leilani Estates marked the beginning of the 62nd episode of the east rift zone eruption that began in January 1983. This eruptive phase began at the beginning of May, and during the summer months, the Keahialaka Forest experienced “huliau” as lava drastically altered the landscape.
Driving through the Puna district today, huge swaths of lava descend into the ocean. The scenes are awesome and humbling. The power of Kīlauea Volcano continues to build
our island, evolving with each eruption!
Inspired by the ivy-league shirts of the early 1900s, the fabric designs are pure Hawai‘i, and the look is pleasingly fresh. The Button Up is an open front, tapered shirt with a full length placket. Coconut buttons are featured on the stand-up, button-down collar and on the front placket. Tuck it in or leave it out over the trousers for a more casual look. Either way, it's the perfect touch of crisp aloha!

The shipping estimates listed at the time of the order are based on when the parcel leaves our premises, not when the order is placed. Please contact your chosen carrier with your tracking information to inquire about the estimated date of arrival and location of your package. Orders are shipped out Monday-Friday. Orders that come in on Friday after 10am HST will not be processed until the following Monday, even if the request is for overnight shipping.
