ʻAwapuhi Kuahiwi Keiki Button Up Aloha Shirt- Deep Blue

This Button Up Aloha Shirt features our ʻAwapuhi Kuahiwi print on Deep Blue fabric with White and Blueberry ink.

The only native ginger of our islands, the name suggests the ginger of the wilderness. Growing abundantly in rainy districts, most often under the canopy of a forest, the shampoo rich pods are perfect for a cleansing dip in the streams!

Back in the 80s, Tiny Town was the place to shop for toys and clothes for our keiki.  Located on Haili Street just above Paramount Grill, this was Downtown Hilo’s children’s store.  We frequented it because I used to buy the little boy’s aloha shirts for Kuhaʻo.  They always had a neat pile of them, different colors, unique designs.

Our Aʻalahonua Keiki Shirt is my homage to Tiny Town.  Dressing up the little ones is always fun, trying to keep them still, buttoning up their shirts.  Their innocent faces, with the colorful aloha shirts, will always make me weak.

We cut these keiki shirts with our last batch of aloha shirts, allowing Dads to match with their son. Grab a couple and dress the guys today!
