This Buttonup Aloha Shirt features our Pua Miulana print on Aruba fabric with Snow ink.
The Old Wailuku Inn at Ulupono is our favorite bed and breakfast in Wailuku! Each room is distinctly different from the other. Outside of the Lokelani Room beckons this fragrant tree. A native of Tibet, the tree is special to the Chinese who carve Buddha figures from the wood. Here in Hawai`i, it is planted for its intoxicating fragrance. When in bloom, the scent travels with the breezes. This design was created for Janice Fairbanks, owner of the Old Wailuku Inn.
Inspired by the ivy-league shirts of the early 1900s, the fabric designs are pure Hawai‘i, and the look is pleasingly fresh. The Button Up is an open front, tapered shirt with a full length placket. Coconut buttons are featured on the stand-up, button-down collar and on the front placket. Tuck it in or leave it out over the trousers for a more casual look. Either way, it's the perfect touch of crisp aloha!
