This Pullover Aloha Shirt features our Kaʻoliʻoli print on Pearl Pink fabric with Peach and Creamsicle ink.
One of the first scents to greet us when we disembark the plane after being away from home is that of the plumeria. The lei has a distinct sweet fragrance that can be detected even over the smell of jet fuel at the airport. The blossom has etched itself into my heart especially for this feeling of homecoming. The Postman's variety has always been my favorite. Its thick petals and rainbow colors make for beautiful lei. Recently while driving in Honolulu, I realized that I knew every Postman's plumeria tree on the route. I was looking ahead in hopes that I could get a glimpse of the favored blossoms, and excited and pleased when I was rewarded with the sight. The name of this rendition implies that feeling, one of pure delight!
Inspired by the ivy-league shirts of the early 1900s, the fabric designs are pure Hawai‘i, and the look is pleasingly fresh. The Buttondown is an open front, tapered shirt with a full length placket, while The Pullover features a half placket and is designed slightly wider to allow over-the-head dressing with ease. Coconut buttons are featured on the stand-up, button-down collar and on the front placket. Tuck it in or leave it out over the trousers for a more casual look. Either way, it's the perfect touch of crisp aloha!
