This Chambray Makaniʻoluʻolu Dress features our ʻAlaonaona design on Indigo fabric with Indigo ink.
A unique character of life here on an island are the distinct smells and fragrances. One of my favorites is the aroma of limu along the shorelines. Līpoa has a strong flavor and because it washes up on the sand and dries out in the sun, the smell is more noticeable. Aunty Edith penned the song “Uluwehi O Ke Kai”, inspired by the drive up the coast from Kāneʻohe to Lāʻie. The fragrant līpoa is prevalent along the shore making it so memorable!
We reintroduce our iconic Makaniʻoluʻolu Dress in lightweight woven chambray cotton, preparing you for the next outing… Almost feather-weight, the light grey warp and the soft white weft are woven for comfort and cool. It is definitely another level look that is alluring and slimming! Such a delight!
