Hua ʻĀpane Kēwai Dress - Brick

Size Guide

This Kēwai Dress features our Hua ʻĀpane design on Brick fabric with Ice Peach and Peach ink.

ʻŌhiʻaʻai (mountain apple) is the ʻōhiʻa that bears fruit. ʻŌhiʻa ʻāpane are the ʻōhiʻa ʻai with red blossoms, different from the ones with white. The fruit comes in different colors too, from pale pink to streaked reds. Hua ʻāpane refers to the beautiful dark red mountain apple.

From a single branch with one fruit, Brandy has created a lei out of woven branches, mirrored yet reversed, entangled but separate. Ā hua ā pane, is traditionally said after a riddle is told. A pun on the name when spoken, Huaʻāpane is our visual riddle.

Kēwai is a moisture laden wind known in the Hilo area.  This sheath dress is the knee-length version of our popular Makaniʻoluʻolu, known for its bias cut, and features a keyhole closure at the back. The drape of this linen/rayon blend fabric will enhance the silhouette.
