This Pullover Aloha Shirt features our Koa Ka Pāpio print on Surf fabric with Navy and Blueberry ink.
Holding a pāpio is an omen of success!
Landing this special fish is a reward: This is a prize catch, sought by many. This 'ōlelo no'eau describes the character of a predator. This fish has DNA that makes him an insightful hunter. Quick and smart, he cruises the reef with authority. The pāpio chooses to hunt when he is least visible. The new moon, Hilo, rises at sunset, disappearing soon after. It is in this dark night that he prevails, brave, for he is hidden. The new moon has risen; the handsome fish courageously hunts!
Koa ka pāpio!
Inspired by the ivy-league shirts of the early 1900s, the fabric designs are pure Hawai‘i, and the look is pleasingly fresh. The Buttondown is an open front, tapered shirt with a full length placket, while The Pullover features a half placket and is designed slightly wider to allow over-the-head dressing with ease. Coconut buttons are featured on the stand-up, button-down collar and on the front placket. Tuck it in or leave it out over the trousers for a more casual look. Either way, it's the perfect touch of crisp aloha!
