Lei Haʻa Akolea
At Waiākea Uka, we gather some of our favorite liko. The youngest buds of the 'ōhi'a trees can be found in reds, oranges, burgundy and grey. The curled leaflets have their own character and are chosen to make our lei hula.
The combination of rain and liko is the proverb that guides us daily: “Liko ka liko i ka ua!” The translation, “The-buds-reach-forth-in-the-rain.” A poetic interpretation is, “Children flourish with encouragement.”
The name of this design, Leihaʻaʻakolea, was inspired by our cousin’s marriage. Her precious child now carries this name. Ola Leihaʻaʻakolea!

RETURN / EXCHANGE POLICY
We are more than happy to honor a refund for purchases made online at sigzanedesigns.com or from our Flagship Downtown Hilo store if an item is returned to us within 30 days of the original purchase. The item needs to be returned with the original receipt in an unused, sellable condition and with the product tags still attached.

The shipping estimates listed at the time of the order are based on when the parcel leaves our premises, not when the order is placed. Please contact your chosen carrier with your tracking information to inquire about the estimated date of arrival and location of your package. Orders are shipped out Monday-Friday. Orders that come in on Friday after 10am HST will not be processed until the following Monday, even if the request is for overnight shipping.
