Fifty years ago I started whipping for ulua. I remember when S. Tokunaga Fishing Store was on Keawe Street in Downtown Hilo. It was THE place for us - first to grab the necessary lures, but secondly to hear what Mrs. Tokunaga said was the latest hit… She always shared with us what “definitely” hooked up!
This year, S. Tokunaga celebrates 105 years! Four generations of Tokunagas have supplied Hilo fishermen with the best goods including the hook that Grandpa designed! We honor and celebrate this achievement and success with a small

Yuen Sing was my Gung Gung’s middle name. He never told us what it meant. We knew that he liked golfing and when we began working on this fabrication and style, we thought of honoring him.
Forget ironing, cause there isn’t a need… Manufactured across the seas, these shirts will work on a surfboard, at the farmers’ market, and keep you comfortable until the 19th hole. Stay cool when it’s warm with our shirt for those active sessions! Polyester and Spandex combination makes it comfortable and light.

SHIPPING & STORE PICKUP We offer domestic and international shipping options for online orders through USPS, FedEx, and DHL International. Please allow at least 2 - 3 business days for your order to be packed and processed for shipping. The shipping estimates listed at the time of the order are based on when the parcel leaves our premises, not when the order is placed. Please contact your chosen carrier with your tracking information to inquire about the estimated date of arrival and location of your package. Orders are shipped out Monday-Friday. Orders that come in on Friday after 10am HST will not be processed until the following Monday, even if the request is for overnight shipping. If you live on Hawaiʻi island and would like to pick up your order at our Downtown Hilo Flagship store, please select the "Local Pickup" option. Please allow 24 hours for us to get your order ready.
