ʻIlimakūkahakai
This study of our native ʻilima was done at Ka Lae, South Point, on the Island of Hawaiʻi. This variety crawls on the ground as it spreads through the grasslands. The name lends itself to the manner of its growth and how the flowers "stand up" on the plains near the ocean. The kaunaʻoa grows alongside the ʻilima, its host plant. Although technically a parasite, kaunaʻoa in Hawaiʻi is treasured and woven into extraordinary lei.

If one looked toward the uplands from Mokuola, the puʻu just in the background of the historic downtown area would grab some attention. Famous for a bamboo grove that was used in ceremony, the hill affords an incredible view of the lands of Hanakahi. This bias-cut top is our offering meant to bring femininity to dressing up. Please allow at least 2 - 3 business days for your order to be packed and processed for shipping. The shipping estimates listed at the time of the order are based on when the parcel leaves our premises, not when the order is placed. Please contact your chosen carrier with your tracking information to inquire about the estimated date of arrival and location of your package. Orders are shipped out Monday-Friday. Orders that come in on Friday after 10am HST will not be processed until the following Monday, even if the request is for overnight shipping.
