Palaʻā Kulaʻimano

There at Kulaʻimano, a large patch of palaʻā grew in the shade of bamboo.  Gathering the lacy fern in that location was surreal.  The filtered light through the tall stalks of bamboo evoked a dream-state spiritual ceremony!  It was silent except for the wind stirring through the leaf blades of the bamboo.

Inspired by the ivy-league shirts of the early 1900s, the fabric designs are pure Hawai‘i, and the look is pleasingly fresh. The Pullover features a half placket and is designed slightly wider to allow over-the-head dressing with ease. Coconut buttons are featured on the stand-up, button-down collar and on the front placket. Tuck it in or leave it out over the trousers for a more casual look. Either way, it's the perfect touch of crisp aloha!

SEERSUCKER CLOTH

Daily schedules seem to encompass a;; kinds of work!  Sometimes we have an air conditioned office to meet, but there are times when it takes place on the rock wall.  We had an impromptu gathering the other week in the parking lot during mid-afternoon humidity…

Dressing theses days, I am mindful of comfort and ease.  Schedules sometimes require fabrics that can make the run, in and out.  Seersucker is a fine solution!  Very minimal ironing required.  Almost ready off the clothesline - into the office, out to the parking lot, or even meeting up with your longtime friend to share bentos… Lightweight and refreshing!
