Windswept pali,

dressed in green,

blossoms dance!

Clothed in green, the hillsides at Kahakuloa are verdant with ʻūlei.  The branches cling to the pali, the breeze rolling inland.  Brilliant white flowers face sunlight, gleaming in the warmth.  Miniature florets command the gaze!

Useful is the ʻūlei in hula, to the lawaiʻa, and especially to the pali! The sounds of kalaʻau beat rhythms in the mele.  The supple branch bends into the net.

The cliffs are blanketed in warmth and protection.

It is the crawling ʻūlei of Kahakuloa!
