Nā ʻOno O Ka ʻĀina

Taro is an important food source in Hawaiʻi.  Each part of the corm and plant have names referring to other significant societal properties.  The multitude of varieties indicate its cultural value and the hierarchy in farming.

Favorite taro are esteemed for smoky aura, or chosen for kūlolo.  Fragrant is the ʻelepaio, or handsome is the lehua.  The manaʻulu taro inspires the mind.  These delicacies of the land provide strength to its place.  Behind the beauty and food, the cultural value is another layer of appreciation for taro.

Inspired by the ivy-league shirts of the early 1900s, the fabric designs are pure Hawai‘i, and the look is pleasingly fresh. The Pullover features a half placket and is designed slightly wider to allow over-the-head dressing with ease.
