This pullover aloha shirt features our Ulu Kukui print on Orange Seersucker material with Cayenne ink.
Ulu Kukui
Lanikāula was a well-known kahuna of Molokaʻi. His expertise and abilities were recognized throughout Hawaiʻi. There is a grove of kukui trees named after him. This grove stands today.
Kukui, its candlenut, and the many varieties of leaves, symbolizes enlightenment. Each leaf represents a form of knowledge and its placement in a path represents enlightenment that one person seeks, together creating a grove of knowledge.
Ulu Kukui, translates to Grove of Kukui. We honor Lanikāula!
Inspired by the ivy-league shirts of the early 1900s, the fabric designs are pure Hawai‘i, and the look is pleasingly fresh. The Pullover features a half placket and is designed slightly wider to allow over-the-head dressing with ease. Coconut buttons are featured on the stand-up, button-down collar and on the front placket. Tuck it in or leave it out over the trousers for a more casual look. Either way, it's the perfect touch of crisp aloha!
