Kawowopōlani

The ʻulu is most significant in our lives.  Inspiring, providing nourishment, and one of the most beautiful trees in Hawaiʻi, we care for the ʻulu like a child.  As a meaningful design, the ʻulu is part of our protocol and development. 

This design focuses on the many leaves as it is iconic and symbolic.  This study of ʻulu originated in Keaukaha, just outside of our bedroom window.  The early morning sunlight, filtering through the leaves, often painted shadows on our bedroom walls.

Kawowopōlani literally translates to “clean seedling.”  Figuratively, we offer “Pure Progeny.”  An ʻulu tree can only be planted by taking an underground shoot from its parent tree.  With this artistic layout, we gift growth, inspiration, charm.  From our ʻulu, we nurture and enlighten, care and provide.

Inspired by the ivy-league shirts of the early 1900s, the fabric designs are pure Hawai‘i, and the look is pleasingly fresh. The Button Up is an open front, tapered shirt with a full length placket. Coconut buttons are featured on the stand-up, button-down collar and on the front placket. Tuck it in or leave it out over the trousers for a more casual look. Either way, it's the perfect touch of crisp aloha!
