This ʻOpuʻu Shell Top features our Kokoʻula print on White Chambray material with Pool and Jade ink.
Kokoʻula
The tips of the new shoots on the ʻōhiʻa are prized for lei! The colors vary but a favorite are the deep reds. After a long rain, the liko are plentiful and strong. This layout reminds me of a forest filled with liko!
The ʻohe kāpala art depicts liko from a top view. Its symmetrical and organized pattern is always a delight in the field! Kokoʻula is a reference to a type of spreading rainbow.
ʻOpuʻu Shell Top
We gave this name to this design in memory of the fields of red liko!
When we first opened SZD, Nālani designed this shell top. Simple with our trademark coconut buttons on the shoulder, this top is meant to play. Nothing to fuss about, easy wear, and refreshing for a Hilo day.
We give this updated style the name ʻŌpuʻu as the off shoot from the mother kalo (the mother being the original top created by Nālani).
Model is 5’6” and wearing a size L. This style runs small so you may want to consider sizing up.
