This ʻOpuʻu Shell Top features our Nā'ūpuaʻauliʻi print on Indigo Chambray material with Quicksilver and Cloud ink.
Nāʻūpuaʻauliʻi
The nāʻū or nānū, is the native gardenia. Small and perfect, this rare plant is making a comeback after years of demise. The play on words makes an interesting name. The translation of the name could also loosely mean "exquisite flower that belongs to me" or "give me the dainty flower."
ʻOpuʻu Shell Top
We gave this name to this design in memory of the fields of red liko!
When we first opened SZD, Nālani designed this shell top. Simple with our trademark coconut buttons on the shoulder, this top is meant to play. Nothing to fuss about, easy wear, and refreshing for a Hilo day.
We give this updated style the name ʻŌpuʻu as the off shoot from the mother kalo (the mother being the original top created by Nālani).
Model is 5’6” and wearing a size L. This style runs small so you may want to consider sizing up.
