Ola Puaʻala
The ʻālula is on a major comeback! Once thought of as rare and only grown on the windy Nā Pali coastline of Kauaʻi, this lobelia has become a popular ornamental on all islands! Sometimes called a “cabbage on a stick” because of the way it grows, the plant is very unique and has distinct flowers!
Our design is focused on the flowers. The simple lines of the florets continue to inspire our creatives. This layout by Brandy-Alia plays with scale and the juxtaposition of the positive and the negative.
Brandy states, “Long live Puaʻala! I found out puaʻala is another term for ʻālula, and wanted to dedicate this print to Uncle Sig’s niece.”
Poʻokela
A fold down collar and a button front opening makes this a versatile blouse. Handsome with blue jeans, and feminine with a solid skirt, the Poʻokela blouse will keep you ready for any occasion. The name literally means "the best." Fabric is machine-washable 100% cotton broadcloth.
