We each have different walks that celebrate our native plants and how we interact within our forests. ʻAʻaliʻi, the native plant in the proverb “ʻaʻaliʻi kū makani”, stands for our steadfast dedication to ʻāina and the cycles of life it nurtures.

Our favorite clusters of ʻaʻaliʻi in the various districts on the Moku O Keawe bloom and seed in different months of the year. Colors vary from north and south types, and the fragrant pods of the Volcano area are perfect for lei.
