Uluniu
At Helumoa, thousands of coconut trees once shaded the royal lands fronting Waikīkī Bay. There at Kapuāiwa, a thousand trees were planted for each warrior in Lot Kapuāiwa’s army.
At Niu Pia, a plantation of trees were planted in rows and at Hilo One, the stretch
of black sand is backed by more than a hundred coconut trees. We encourage plantations of niu as they remain an iconic view of tranquility. Ulu-Niu, literally coconut groves, are made up of niu haku, the young trees still with nuts.
Ka niu peʻahi kanaka o Kaipalaoa!
The coconut trees are alluring at Kaipalaoa!
Inspired by the ivy-league shirts of the early 1900s, the fabric designs are pure Hawai‘i, and the look is pleasingly fresh. The Pullover features a half placket and is designed slightly wider to allow over-the-head dressing with ease. Coconut buttons are featured on the stand-up, button-down collar and on the front placket. Tuck it in or leave it out over the trousers for a more casual look. Either way, it's the perfect touch of crisp aloha!
