Nānū

Often referred to as Nāʻū, this native gardenia is making a slow comeback.  Regarded as dangerously rare, these plants are now being cared for and new plants are being propagated in nurseries.  Very small in comparison to the Chinese gardenia, this single petal blossom is indeed a prized gift for our gardens!
